  • 1 c. rolled wheat or oats
  • 1 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Pour water over wheat or oats.

    Let stand 20 minutes.

    Cream margarine and sugars.

    Add eggs, rolled wheat and then add rest of ingredients.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
