- 1 lb. oleo
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 pkg. yeast, dissolved
- 8 c. flour, sifted twice
Directions

1Scald milk and oleo in a large pot (Dutch oven).

2Remove from heat.

3Stir in sugar and salt.

4Cool to lukewarm.

5Add eggs, yeast and 4 cups of flour.

6Mix well.
-
7Add remaining 4 cups flour.

8Mix. Place cover on the pot.

9Let rise until double in bulk, about 50 to 60 minutes.

10Stir down.
-
11Place on floured board and cut with biscuit cutter.

12Place on greased (Crisco) cookie sheets.

13Cover with dish towels free from draft.

14Let rise about 45 minutes. Bake in hot oven at 400° for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Brush tops with melted butter.

15Yield: 72 rolls.
