- 5 c. flour
- 1/2 c. shortening or oil
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2Sift flour, salt and sugar. Cut in shortening.

3Add yeast water.

4The dough will be rather sticky.

5Use a wooden spoon to mix.

6Keep stirring until the dough is elastic like strands when you pull the dough from the bowl. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate immediately.

7The next day, place the dough on a well floured board.

8Roll out and cut into desired shapes.

9Place them on a greased pan.

10Cover with a cloth and let rise until doubled in size.

11You may brush with margarine before or after baking. Bake in a 450° oven for 15 minutes.
