- 2 yeast cakes
- 1 1/3 c. shortening (oil)
- 2 c. scalded milk (use nonfat dry)
- 12 to 16 c. flour
- 2 c. mashed potatoes (use potato flakes mixed as directed)
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Add shortening, eggs and mashed potatoes. Add milk and flour alternately.

2Knead. Place in a greased bowl and let rise.

3Knead down.

4Put in refrigerator or make into rolls as desired.

5May leave in refrigerator overnight.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
