- 1/2 c. water
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 beaten egg
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
Directions

1In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup of water.

2In a pan, melt together the water, butter, sugar and salt; mix with yeast. Add egg.

3Add flour (dough will be sticky) and store, covered, in refrigerator until chilled.

4Roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick.

5Cut and fold over.

6Dip each in melted butter and let rise 3 hours.

7Bake at 400° until lightly browned.
