  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 yeast cakes
  • 6 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 7 c. flour (approximately)
  • 1 c. lukewarm water

    Mix cooled milk, shortening, sugar and salt.

    Add eggs.

    Mix yeast with 1 tablespoon sugar in the warm water.

    Add flour.

    Let rise.

    Knead down.

    Shape into rolls.

    Put in greased tins.

    Let rise.

    Bake 12 to 15 minutes until brown in 400° oven.
