  • 1 c. shortening
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. butter flavoring
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. rum flavoring
  • 1 c. milk

    Cream the sugar and shortening.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Combine flour, salt and baking powder.

    Add flour mixture alternately with milk and flavorings; beat well.

    Pour in greased tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
