- 1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. butter or oleo
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 2 or 2 1/2 c. pecans
Directions

1Mix condensed milk and sugar in heavy skillet.

2Allow to melt over medium heat, then turn heat higher so that a brown crust will form on bottom of pot.

3Scrape (do not stir) constantly.

4After cooking approximately 10 minutes, when mixture will become light caramel color and forms a soft ball in a cup of cold water. Remove from fire and mash all brown lumps with back of spoon.

5Add salt, butter and pecans, stirring 2 to 3 minutes.

6Pour into buttered platter and cool.
