- 1 c. soft butter
- 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts
Directions

1Mix together thoroughly the butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla extract.

2Sift together and stir in sifted flour and salt. Add finely chopped nuts to batter.

3Chill dough.

4Roll into 1-inch balls.

5Place on ungreased baking sheet (cookies do not spread). Bake until set, but not brown in moderately hot oven at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes.

6While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar. Cool.

7Roll in sugar again.

8Yields about 4 dozen 1 1/2-inch cookies.
