  • 1 c. soft butter
  • 1/2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts

Directions

    Mix butter, vanilla and sugar well.

    Sift flour and salt; stir in sugar mixture, mix in nuts.

    Chill dough.

    Heat oven to 400°. Roll dough into 1 inch balls.

    Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

    While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool.

    Roll in sugar again.

    Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
