- FOR THE BARS:
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 3/4 cups Shortening
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 whole Eggs
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 cups Mini Marshmallows
- FOR THE FROSTING/TOPPING:
- 5 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cups Milk/Cream
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1Preheat oven 350°F.

2For the bars, cream together the sugars and shortening. Add vanilla and mix to combine. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

3In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly add to the egg and sugar batter, mixing well until combined.

4Spread batter into a 9x13 pan and bake at 350°F about 10 minutes.

5Remove from the oven and top with marshmallows. Place back in the oven and bake until marshmallows are puffed and browned. Remove from the oven and let cool.

6For the frosting, combine butter, sugar and milk in a small saucepan. Stir and bring to a boil. Boil for less than a minute, then remove from the heat.

7Stir in chocolate chips and spread over the top of the cooled marshmallows and crust.

8Chill or let sit at room temperature. If you do chill this, make sure to remove it from the fridge about an hour before serving so the chocolate can soften.
