Sage Squash Casserole

  • 1 1/2 lb. yellow squash
  • 1 1/2 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 small can chopped green chilies
  • 12 crumbled crackers
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • garlic salt; salt; sage; pepper and picante sauce, all to taste

Directions

    Cook squash and onion until tender enough to mash.

    Drain well and mash.

    Mix in 1 teaspoon of the grated cheese.

    Add rest of ingredients.

    Pour into a baking dish and top with remaining cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
