- 1 c. butter, melted
- 3 c. chopped onions
- 3 c. minced celery
- 16 slices white bread, dried and broken into small pieces
- 6 Tbsp. fresh sage or 3 Tbsp. dried sage leaves
- 1 c. minced fresh parsley
- 2 tsp. salt or to taste
- 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper or to taste
- 1 to 2 c. turkey (giblet) or chicken broth
Directions

1Put 4 tablespoons of melted butter into skillet.

2Add onion and celery and cook, stirring often, over moderate heat until vegetables are soft but not browned.

3In large bowl, combine dried bread, sage, parsley, salt and pepper.

4Add onion and celery mixture and remaining melted butter.

5Toss until well mixed.

6Using your hands works best for mixing.
