- 1 (1 lb.) can salmon (2 c.) or 2 c. flaked cooked salmon
- 2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. bottled milk or 1/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 Tbsp. minced parsley
- 1 tsp. salt
- few grains cayenne pepper
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
Directions

1Drain salmon, reserving liquid.

2Remove skin from salmon and flake.

3Combine with remaining ingredients.

4Turn into a greased or oiled 7 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan and bake in a moderately hot oven of 375° for 40 minutes or until firm in center.

5Serve with 1 cup medium white sauce in the making of which the reserved salmon liquid has been used as part of the milk.

6Before serving sauce, stir in 2 tablespoons of ketchup.
