Salmon Pate

Ingredients

  • 1 can (7 1/2 oz.) salmon
  • 8 oz. Camembert cheese
  • 1/3 c. butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 c. chopped scallions (white only)
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp. dried basil, crumbled
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • lemon slice, parsley for garnish

Directions

    Drain salmon; remove skin and bones.

    Remove rind from cheese and cut cheese into chunks.

    Place all ingredients except garnish in food processor fitted with steel knife.

    Process until smooth. Place pate in serving dish.

    Chill several hours.

    Garnish.

    Serve with crackers, party rye or cut up raw vegetables.
