Salmon Steak Bake

  • 12 ounces salmon steaks frozen, 2 6 ounce packages
  • 18 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 1/2 cup red wine dry
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup onions finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon water cold
  • 1/2 cup grapes, seedless green

Directions

    Heat oven to 475 F. Place frozen salmon steaks in buttered baking dish, 12x8x2 inches.

    Sprinkle with salt and pepper; brush with melted butter.

    Bake uncovered 15 minutes.

    While steaks are baking, heat wine, onion and lemon juice to boiling in 1 1/2-quart saucepan; reduce heat.

    Simmer uncovered 5 minutes.

    Stir water into cornstarch; stir into wine sauce.

    Heat to boiling.

    Boil and stir 1 minute.

    Stir in grapes.
