- 4 (28 oz.) cans peeled whole tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 large onion (Spanish or Vidalia)
- 5 hot banana peppers
- 5 hot cayenne peppers or whatever is available
- 1/2 c. wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 large tomatoes
Directions

1In a food processor, puree one can of tomatoes at a time and pour into large bowl.

2Cut onion half into quarters and process to a fine chop; add to bowl.

3Wearing plastic gloves, cut pepper ends off; remove insides and cut in half.

4Process to fine chop; add to bowl.

5Add vinegar and salt to bowl and mix well.

6Chop tomatoes by hand to coarse texture and add to bowl.

7Mix well and chill. Serve with tortilla chips.

8Sometimes after chilling, it thickens too much for dipping.

9Thin with more vinegar.
