- 4 teaspoons butter or 4 teaspoons margarine
- 1 (10 ounce) bag marshmallows
- 2 cups powdered sugar (more may be needed)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups chopped salted peanuts
- 48 caramels
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions

1Melt half the butter.

2Add marshmallows, stirring until melted.

3Add vanilla.

4Mix with powdered sugar to make a smooth, workable dough.

5Add 1/2 cup peanuts.

6Shape into 2 rolls.

7Place 1/2 of remaining peanuts on a sheet of plastic wrap, a little longer than a roll.

8Melt 1/2 the caramels with 1 T. of water and 1 T. of butter.

9Pour over the peanuts.

10Place one roll on the caramel and bring up the sides of the plastic wrap to cover the roll with the caramel and peanuts.

11Press the nuts firmly into the caramel.

12Repeat the process to cover the other roll.

13Refrigerate, and slice when ready to serve.
