- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- saltines
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
- 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
Directions

1Melt butter and sugar together in saucepan.

2Line jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with saltines.

3Pour mixture over saltines. Bake in oven at 375° for 5 minutes.

4Remove from oven; sprinkle with semi-sweet chocolate bits.

5Return to oven for 1 minute. Remove from oven; spread out chocolate bits.

6Sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts.

7Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

8Break into brittle type pieces.
