- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 egg (unbeaten)
- 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar very well.

2Add the egg and almond extract.

3Add the flour to make a stiff dough.

4Pinch off a small ball of dough and place it in center of the special tins and with your thumb, work the dough evenly on the side, spreading the dough as thin as possible on the bottom and sides of each tin.

5Place filled tins on a cookie sheet and bake at 350° to 375° about 15 minutes or until golden brown.

6Cool before removing from tins. To remove, invert tin and tap gently; cookies should drop out. Clean tins before storing with a dry cloth.

7These are time consuming to make, but worth the effort.
