Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. sifted powdered sugar

Directions

    In a medium mixing bowl beat butter with mixer on medium high speed for 30 seconds.

    Add 1/2 of the flour and all the sugar, water and vanilla.

    Beat until thoroughly combined, scraping sides of bowl.

    Beat to stir in remaining flour.
  5. 5
    Stir in chopped pecans. Shape dough into balls, place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 325° for 20 minutes.

    Gently shake cooled cookies in a bag with powdered sugar.
