  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla.

    Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts.

    Roll into balls or shape into fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 325° for 20 minutes.

    Remove from the pan and cool slightly.

    Roll each cookie in confectioners sugar.
