- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. water
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla.

2Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts.

3Roll into balls or shape into fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 325° for 20 minutes.

4Remove from the pan and cool slightly.

5Roll each cookie in confectioners sugar.
