Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1/2 small red onion
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/3 c. salad oil
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • dash of pepper
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

Directions

    Combine vinegar, oil, sugar, pepper, water, salt and celery seed.

    Warm just a little.

    Allow to cool slightly and while still warm, pour over cabbage, green pepper, carrot and onion.

    Let set for 1 hour before placing in refrigerator.

    This will keep quite awhile.
