- 3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. long grain rice
- 1/3 c. raisins
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1In a heavy medium saucepan, bring milk to boiling.

2Stir in uncooked rice, raisins and salt.

3Cover pot and cook over low heat, stirring often, for 30 to 40 minutes, or until most of the milk is absorbed.

4Mixture may appear curdled.

5Take pot off heat and stir in butter, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon.

6Cool and refrigerate or enjoy warm.
