Ingredients
- 2 lb. shortribs (3 inches long)
- 4 to 5 green onions
- 1 Tbsp. sesame seed
- 6 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/8 tsp. salt
Directions

1Score ribs on both sides 1/3 of the way down.

2Do not cut all the way through.

3Put ribs in a heavy kettle.

4Add the garlic to the soy sauce.

5Put in kettle, along with enough water to cover the ribs 3/4 up.

6Add scallions (chopped).

7Toast seed in salt briefly until rounded and brown; add to ribs.

8Bring to boil; lower heat and simmer.

9Cover and cook for 2 hours.

10Serve with cooked rice.
