  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. sliced onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. fat
  • 1 c. water

    Place beef in bowl.

    Combine next 7 ingredients and blend. Pour over meat.

    Marinate 24 hours.

    Melt fat in a heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
