- 1/3 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. vinegar
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 c. crushed gingersnaps
- 2 to 3 lb. beef rump roast
- 1/2 c. sliced onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. golden raisins
- 1 tsp. whole peppercorns
Directions

1In appropriate dish, combine all ingredients except beef and gingersnaps.

2Place meat in marinade for at least 24 hours, turning occasionally.

3Sprinkle crushed gingersnaps over all. Bake at 300° for 2 to 3 hours.

4Serve sliced with juice or thicken juice as for gravy.
