  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 8 or 9 large heads cabbage
  • 10 to 14 qt. jars

    Mix all ingredients together in saucepan over high heat; cook until it starts to boil, then pour over ground cabbage already in jars, then seal.
