  • 2 3/4 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. buttermilk

    Stir to crumble; drain well and set aside.

    Combine shortening and flour; mix well. Dissolve yeast in warm water; add sugar.
