Sausage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Pork sausage (bulk)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 packages puff pastry

Directions

    In a large bowl, combine sausage meat, onion, garlic, and pepper.

    Mix well.

    Roll meat mixture into long roll approximately 1 inch in diameter, using plastic wrap.

    Refrigerate for an hour.

    Meanwhile, roll out puff pastry to a large rectangle.

    Cut so they are approximately 5 inches wide strips.

    Place sausage meat onto pastry and roll tightly.

    Place on a rack seam down.

    Bake at 400F for 20 minutes of until an internal temperature of 180F and pastry is golden brown.

    Allow to cool, cut into 6 inch pieces and refrigerate covered.

    Serve warm or cold.
