  • 15 oz. pkg. stuffing cubes
  • 1 lb. country pork sausage, pan-fried and drained
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine, divided
  • 2 c. celery, chopped
  • 2 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 c. turkey or chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

    Saute celery, onion and parsley in 3/4 cup butter.

    Add cooked sausage.

    Mix with stuffing cubes, broth and eggs.

    Toss lightly until moistened.

    Rub turkey with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and 1/4 cup melted butter.

    Stuff into 18 to 24 pound turkey or separately in covered casserole for 30 minutes at 350°.
