  • 2 cups flour
  • 9/16 cup water
  • 2/3 tablespoon yeast
  • 13/16 teaspoon salt
  • 1 7/8 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon malt barley
  • 3 3/4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • salt Himalayan pink

    In a bowl, make a well, add the flour, water, yeast, salt, oil, malt, and cocoa powder. Mix together and beat for 8 to 10 minutes using a hand mixer. The mixture should not be too soft.

    Shape into a loaf and roll out to a rectangle. Brush with olive oil.

    Cover and allow to rise for 1 hour.

    Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.

    With a sharp knife, cut strips of dough from the short side of the rectangle about 1-inch thick.

    Gently roll into breadsticks by hand.

    Sprinkle with pink salt.
