- 2 md. onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- margarine
- 2 tbsp. water
- 1 day-old bread, crusts removed
- 1-1/2 cup mashed potatoes
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp. fresh savory
- 2 tsp. dried savory
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1In a skillet, saute onions in butter and water until tender, stirring occasionally.

2Break bread into small pieces; place in a large bowl.

3Add potatoes, broth, savory, salt, pepper and onion mixture; mix well.

4Place in a 2 qt.

5baking dish.

6Cover and bake at 325F for 1 hour or until lightly browned.
