- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. minced basil
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- hot cooked spaghetti
Directions

1In a Dutch oven cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender.

3Add the next 8 ingredients. Bring to a boil.

4Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

5Remove the bay leaf.

6Serve over spaghetti.
