Ingredients
- 2 lb. beef chuck, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 3 c. water
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 medium potatoes, cut
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 small bay leaf
- 8 small whole onions
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 carrots, quartered
- 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1In a Dutch oven, combine all ingredients except 1 cup water and the flour.

2Cover and bake in a 325° oven for 4 hours or until meat is tender.

3Remove from oven.

4In a covered jar, shake 1 cup water and flour until blended; stir in stew.

5Heat to boiling, stirring constantly for 1 minute.

6Serve hot.
