Scalloped Cabbage

  • 4 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/3 c. grated cheese
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs

Directions

    Drop cabbage into boiling water and cook 5 minutes.

    Drain, put half of the cabbage in a buttered casserole dish.

    Sprinkle with half of salt, sugar and pepper.

    Add flour, cheese and half of margarine.
  5. 5
    Top with remaining cabbage.

    Sprinkle on the bread crumbs

    mixed with 1 1/2 tablespoons melted margarine.

    Bake in a 350° oven until brown.
