Scalloped Cabbage

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 c. half and half or coffee cream
  • 1 c. cracker crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted

    Steam head of cabbage, about 3 minutes.

    Drain.

    Cut or shred in small pieces.

    Alternate layers of cabbage with cream cheese. Add salt and pepper.

    Pour half and half or coffee cream over this. Sprinkle cracker crumbs which have been mixed with butter over top and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
