  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 pt. oysters
  • 1/2 c. oyster liquor
  • salt and pepper
  • hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • buttered bread crumbs
  • crushed crackers (Ritz or Town House)

Directions

    Cover bottom of buttered baking dish with crushed crackers, then a layer of oysters.

    Dot with butter and seasoning.

    Make another layer of crumbs and another of oysters.

    Dot with butter. Pour the liquids over top; sprinkle with butter and bread crumbs. Bake for 25 minutes at 400°.
