  • 1 can tomatoes (1 lb. size)
  • 1 onion, cut into small pieces
  • 2 slices bread, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • butter

Directions

    Mix all ingredients in proper sized buttered baking dish.

    Dot generously with butter.

    Bake, uncovered, slowly until bread browns a bit, at least 1 1/2 hours in 325° oven.
