- 4 medium size firm tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. seasoned croutons
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Arrange tomatoes in a buttered 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish. Saute celery and onion in butter for 2 minutes.

2Stir in seasons. Set aside 1/4 cup celery mixture; spoon remainder over tomatoes. Combine reserved celery mixture and croutons.

3Tossing gently, spoon over tomatoes.

4Cover; bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

5Yields 4 to 6 servings.
