- 3 tbsp. dried bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 1 tbsp. 1/2 plus tsp. butter
- 8 oz. scallops
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. dry vermouth
- 1 cup minced garlic
Directions

1Combine crumbs, parsley, oregano and lemon peel in a mixing bowl.

2Add 1 tbsp.

3softened butter and mix well.

5Preheat broiler.

6In shallow flameproof casserole, arrange scallops; mix together remaining ingredients and pour over scallops.

7Broil 6 inches from heat until scallops are opaque, 4 to 5 minutes.

8Sprinkle crumb mixture evently over scallops and broil until crisp and lightly browned, about 1 minute longer.
