- 3 tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- Raisins, currants, dried cranberries, chopped dates, grated fruit peel (optional)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400F.

4Stir in the fruit and buttermilk.

6Roll to a 1/2-inch thick and cut into wedges.
