- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. cream or sour cream
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Lightly butter a baking sheet.

3Sift dry ingredients together into a bowl.

4Add the butter and work with your fingertips until mixture resembles coarse meal.

5Combine eggs, cream and vanilla in a bowl and beat until combined.

6Add to flour mixture.

7Stir just until moistened.

8Flour hands well. Working quickly, lightly put the dough in an 8-inch round.

9With a sharp knife, score the round into 8 wedges.

10Set on baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes until top is brown.

11Serve warm.
