- 3/4 c. butter, softened
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Mix butter and sugar.

3Using hands, mix in flour.

4If dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 tablespoons butter, softened.

5Roll dough 1/2-inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into small squares.

6Place about 1/2-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set but not brown, 20 minutes.

7Remove immediately from cookie sheet. Cool completely. Store in tightly covered container up to 4 days.

8Yields 2 dozen.
