- 1/2 lb. butter
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3Sift together 3 times the flour and salt.

4Blend into creamed mixture.

5Press dough into 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.

6Bake until pale gold (about 45 minutes).

7Do not overbake.

8Remove from oven and cut into squares.

9Store in airtight container.

10It is preferable to mix this recipe by hand.
