Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter (room temperature)
  • 2 1/2 c. (approximately) twice sifted flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Knead ingredients together, adding flour gradually until dough no longer sticks to bowl or fingers.

    Place ball of dough on ungreased cookie sheet with raised sides.

    Pat out dough evenly, fork with holes thoroughly and bake at 275° for 1 hour or until browning starts.

    Remove, cut and sugar immediately.
