  • 2 sticks real butter (1/2 lb.)
  • 2 1/2 c. flour (add 1/2 c. if needed)
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Put all ingredients in a bowl.

    Butter must be at room temperature.

    Work with hands to form a ball (no crumbs).

    Spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Prick with a fork. Sprinkle with sugar.

    Bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes.

    Remove and cut into squares.

    Return to oven at 275° for 25 minutes. Take out and enjoy!
