Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 lb. ground pork sausage
  • 1/2 tsp. dried sage leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 can chicken broth (10 3/4 oz.)
  • butter

Directions

    Blend corn meal and 1 cup water in a small bowl.

    In a large saucepan, combine sausage, sage, salt, parsley and chicken broth. Gradually stir in 2 cups water.

    Bring to a boil.

    Add corn meal slowly to boiling mixture.

    Stir constantly with a wire whisk. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.

    Turn into 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.

    Dot top with a little butter.

    Cool.

    Cover and refrigerate.
