Ingredients

  • 2 c. ground pork
  • 2 c. ground beef
  • 3 c. meat broth or 3 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in 3 c. hot water
  • 1 c. yellow corn meal
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

Directions

    Combine meats and broth; heat to boiling.

    Add seasonings. Stir in corn meal slowly, stirring constantly.

    Cook 30 minutes; add cayenne.

    Pour into pan.

    Chill until firm.

    Cut in thin slices and fry.
