  • 1 Kings 10:2 (spices 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground cloves, 1 tsp. allspice, 1 tsp. nutmeg)
  • 3 tsp. Amos 4:5 (baking powder, 1 tsp. soda)
  • 1 tsp. Leviticus 2:13 (salt)
  • 3 3/4 c. 1 Kings 4:22 (unsifted all-purpose flour)
  • 1 c. Genesis 24:11 (water, substitute 1 c. buttermilk)
  • 2 c. 1 Samuel 30:12 (raisins)
  • 2 c. Revelation 6:13 (cut up diced figs)
  • 1 c. Numbers 17:8 (chopped almonds)

Directions

    Preheat oven to 300°.

    In large mixer bowl at medium speed beat butter until smooth.

    Add sugar.

    Gradually blend in honey, add eggs one at a time.

    Mix spices, baking powder, soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to batter alternately with buttermilk.

    Toss raisins, figs and almonds in half cup flour.

    Fold into batter. Bake in 10-inch Bundt pan or two (9 x 5 x 3-inch) loaf pans.
